PEUGEOT 205 XS Red with grey and red cloth 39000 miles. This is my own car. I was first attracted to these cars when I first started trading back in the late eighties, I drove one from Oxford to Marshalls Garage Reading, I had driven many 205 GTi's but never an XS as they were quite rare, it was much lighter, more direct and far less aggressive than a GTi, I remember thinking that I must get one in a few years when they have dropped in price. I did exactly that I stumbled across this one advertised in Reading in 2007, a chap had bought it from its first owner as an interim car before he got a company car, I couldn't believe how original it was, it had only done 35000 miles, had never been painted ( and still hasn't ) and the drivers seat which is so susceptible to wear was perfect, but best of all it was an early car with slide controls, I used it a fare bit to start with but it gets virtually no use now, hence it is for sale. The car is faultless, has been kept in a de humidified barn all the time I've owned it, I spoke to the first owner when I first got the car and they confirmed that they'd kept it in a garage as well which would explain why the paint is little faded. The car will be sold with a full service, brake fluid change and 12 months MOT.
